In a report given to the Commissioners at their November meeting it was announced that the Colorado Division of Real Estate will raise applicationfees for real estate broker licenses beginning as early as November 15th, 2008. The current application fee of $250 will increase to $500. The DRE has not raised fees for the past couple of years, leading to a 100% increase in application fees.
Time Share registry fees will increase from $1,000 to $4,000 and License renewal fees for Colorado real estate brokers renewing an Active license will also increase to $300 for a three year renewal. This represents an increase from the previous renewal fee of $150.
The new fee structure for renewals has been approved and will also go into effect around November 15th, 2008.
