The Texas Real Estate Commission and Texas Appraiser Licensing & Certification Boards will move in July to a new state office in Austin. The agency is scheduled to open in their new offices on July 18th, but some services will see a disruption during the transition.
Key among those fears are the phone and online services which are both scheduled to be unavailable from July 15th through July 17th prior to the new office being in service. This should be sufficient time for the services to be operational right away upon reopening, however TREC & TALCB are cautioning license holders who are due to renew in July that they should complete the renewal process prior to July 14th. At 5pm on the 14th is when the temporary shut down of phone and online services is scheduled to begin.
We strongly suggest that licensees with a July renewal date in Texas renew their individual licenses prior to July 14th. For those needing to complete education in order to renew VanEd will process all certificates up until 5pm CT on July 14th as soon as they are completed by students and arrive in our offices so as not to delay your renewals.
