The next time you're invited to a party, or any social gathering for that matter... take your camera. It doesn't matter if you're a good photographer or not, what matters is that, by taking pictures of people having fun, you have a terrific excuse to make some new friends!
Just imagine the possibilities. If you meet some people you'd like to get to know better, just snap their picture. Be sure to capture shots of the hosts and of the overall atmosphere.
Not only will you have a built-in excuse to talk to people AT the party, you'll have a great reason to follow up with the hosts so you can share your pictures of their special event. What a great guy (or gal) you are! You'll surely be invited back!
And of course, the hosts will be delighted to share your photos with their friends. Don't push to do it yourself, unless the hosts ask you to. Remember, the last thing you want to do is be "that annoying real estate agent to be avoided at parties..."
